TCV Wigan Allotment Building

This project was conducted under our previous trading name, Straw Works. We designed this relatively small building for the allotments at Worsley Hall for BTCV. It is built with car tyre foundations, loadbearing straw walls, lime render and clay plaster plus a compost toilet.
The School of Natural Building (SNaB) ran a course to build the foundations, and the TCV volunteers finished them off. SNaB also ran carpentry and plastering courses throughout 2013.
